UFC 276: Sean Strickland jokes about devastating KO loss to Alex Pereira

UFC middleweight Sean Strickland isn’t afraid to joke about his knockout loss to Alex Pereira from UFC 276.

Whether you love him or you hate him, there’s simply no way of denying that Sean Strickland is one of the most notorious names in mixed martial arts today. The 185-pounder is a solid technical fighter inside the cage but outside of it, his antics on social media tend to raise his stock even higher – or lower, depending on your own taste.

The 31-year-old came into UFC 276 earlier this month riding a six-fight win streak with many believing a win over Alex Pereira, if convincing enough, would vault him into the title conversation with Israel Adesanya.

Many hadn’t heard from him in a public setting since then but during a recent interview with The Schmo, Sean made sure to let fans know that he wasn’t beating himself up too much about it.

“Going down [the rankings]. What’s up dude, it’s been a while. It’s been a while, right? I got knocked out and I forgot how long it was, who knows [laughs].”

“I’m doing good, man. I’m permanently walking around like this now [holding a fist to his head] everywhere I go, I’m checking out at the supermarket like this, I’m pumping gas like this, everything I do is just like this. I’m gonna do the whole f***ing interview just like this! [laughs]”

“You know man, it sucked, but I’d do nothing different. At the end of the day I said I would stand and bang with anybody, I didn’t say I was gonna win!
