UEFA president makes them look weak with political Man City FFP comments

There's nothing wrong with Aleksander Ceferin thinking that UEFA were right to punish Manchester City all those years ago.

As a lawyer, he will know that those in the profession don't usually go to court unless they think they can win - and also that they accept they have a chance of losing given they are up against independent judges who can decide however they like. The Court of Arbitration for Sport said that there was merit in UEFA bringing the case, so even without the decision it is entirely plausible for the losing side to retain belief that they were right.

As a lawyer though, he also knows the importance of evidence in shaping belief.
