Ubisoft set to attend Gamescom

Ubisoft will be attending Gamescom 2022, the developers have confirmed.

The company did not show up at Summer Game Fest, leaving fans somewhat unsatisfied.

Gamescom is set to take place between August 24 and August 28, and is often where we see new trailers revealed and major updates given on upcoming games.

Ubisoft has yet to actually confirm what they will be showcasing at Gamescom but they have confirmed that they will be there.

A tweet from the Ubisoft account read: “See you at Gamescom! August 24-28, stay tuned for more news.”

Gamesradar has speculated on what could be seen, and we’re unlikely to have Assassin’s Creed shown off, as they have already confirmed “the future” of the series will be unveiled in September.

We could see some more DLC for Valhalla but that feels unlikely, given that “the last episode of Eivor’s story” has already been revealed.

Skull and Bones could be one game that finally gets a trailer; it has been in development for a number of years and there are rumours abounding that it could be shown off first in July, so a follow-up at Gamescom would make sense.

Ubisoft has a number of upcoming projects slated, including Ghost Recon Frontline and XDefiant, two games that are set to be free-to-play on a variety of systems.

There is also Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, OddBallers, and The Settlers, along with the long-awaited Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake and Mario + Rabbids.

The latter is unlikely to get a reveal, as the developers have been forced to issue refunds for pre-orders; we simply don’t know when Prince of Persia will be on shelves once again.

We’ll let you know when we have more information about Ubisoft’s appearance at the upcoming games festival.
