Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte undercard reshuffle sees Ekow Essuman take on Darren Tetley

The Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte undercard has received a welcome boost ahead of Saturday night.

Frank Warren has confirmed that Ekow Essuman will defend his British and Commonwealth welterweight titles against Darren Tetley on the undercard of Fury’s clash with Whyte on April 23.

The unbeaten Ghanaian-born British boxer, 33, faces his fellow Queensberry Promotions stablemate, 28, this weekend at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Essuman will defend his straps for the second time since beating Danny Ball in Birmingham back in October.

He won the belts in July 2021 after knocking out fellow Brit Chris Jenkins across the road at the SSE Arena.

Meanwhile Tetley will look to make it two wins on the trots after bouncing back from back-to-back defeats to Samuel Antwi and Liam Taylor with a win over Evgenii Vazem last time out.

The 5 ft 11 in Brit holds a 21-2 record in professional boxing having lost two of his last three fights.

It comes after Anthony Cacace vs Jonatan Romero was called off just three days before the fight was due to take place.

The Northern Irishman’s latest super-featherweight fight was cancelled because opponent Romero could not get his visa sorted in time according to reports.

Taking to Twitter, Cacace told his 5,865 followers: “Actually can’t believe I’m writing this status.

“Been away from my children and home for 3 months only to be told that I will not be fighting on this show.

“What an absolute f***ing kick in the teeth.

“Boxings broke me many times but this time just feel shattered. F*** boxing!!”

The Belfast man was set to battle it out with the Colombian for the vacant WBO International belt – but he has no idea when the next opportunity will come his way.

He added: “Romero couldn’t get a visa two weeks
