Tyson Fury's promoter defends the choice of Derek Chisora as his next opponent

Derek Chisora has been described as a ‘credible heavyweight’ ahead of December’s world heavyweight title fight against Tyson Fury.

That’s the opinion of Todd DuBoef, Fury’s US promoter.

The Gypsy King will defend his WBC belt against Del Boy following the cancellation of talks with Anthony Joshua.

It will be their third contest, having previously fought before in 2011 and 2014, with Fury winning on both occasions thus far.

DuBoef has insisted that Chisora is the best option available at the moment, telling Express.co.uk: “That’s a tough one to say, what’s your opinion on the fight? “I think to get Tyson back in the ring is a great thing and Chisora is a credible heavyweight and comes from the region, it makes sense. I don’t think anyone is saying ‘hey, this was the AJ fight or Usyk fight’ those were obviously the first targeted matches and obviously you have to go find who’s next depending on timing and availability.

“Tyson is Tyson, to get him back in the ring and to create a great event around him is always good. Wembley was amazing it was one of the most memorable nights I’ve had in my thirty years in boxing and to create that electricity one more time
