Tyson Fury next fight: Frank Bruno responds to exhibition challenge

British boxing legend Frank Bruno has distanced himself from a possible exhibition boxing match against Tyson Fury.

Throughout the course of his professional boxing career, Frank Bruno never failed to entertain the masses. The ‘True Brit’, who is now 60 years of age, finished with a 40-5 record to his name alongside 38 knockouts and just two decision wins. His defeats, meanwhile, came to some of the best in the game including Lennox Lewis and two losses at the hands of Mike Tyson.

Despite those setbacks, though, Bruno is fondly remembered as one of the most electric heavyweights of his generation – as well as a former world champion after defeating Oliver McCall to win the WBC title.

Fast forward to the present day and Frank spends his time living the life of a retired legend, occasionally doing some punditry work along the way.

His name has been in the headlines across the last couple of days as a result of Tyson Fury listing him as someone he’d be interested in taking on in an exhibition bout during an interview with Frank Warren.

Nobody really thought he was being serious but just in case he was, Bruno took to social media to reassure fans that he wouldn’t be stepping back into the squared circle.

“Morning can I confirm as much as I appreciate invitation I WILL NOT be fighting my pal Tyson Fury in an exhibition bout. I’ve a detached retina & even the slightest accidental stray punch would make me blind. However I’ll accept the challenge on a Computer game! Enjoy the weather”
