Tyson Fury given 'puncher's chance' vs Oleksandr Usyk as former world champion doubles down on prediction

Tyson Fury has been told he's only got a "puncher's chance" against Oleksandr Usyk in their upcoming fight.

The undisputed heavyweight showdown was supposed to happen last weekend in Saudi Arabia, but has quickly been rearranged for May, 18 after Furysuffered a nasty cut above his eye during sparring. Former WBC cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew, who was knocked out by Usyk in his final fight, doesn't think Tyson can beat the Ukrainian boxer. He said to Matchroom Boxing: "I don't think anybody beats Oleksandr Usyk. I don't think anybody beats him. I said it many many moons ago. I think now [Fury] has a puncher's chance but he isn't a big puncher to be honest.

"The craziest part about it is I think when Fury was with his uncle (former trainer Peter Fury) I do think he would beat him, but his style has changed, and now he's an aggressive counter puncher and that isn't going to work against Usyk.

"I think he's a brilliant fighter, take nothing away from him, what he's done for the heavyweight division is amazing. But I think Oleksandr Usyk is the best heavyweight in the world."

Fury has previously criticised Bellew for being a big 'Anthony Joshua fan' after Bellew suggested that 'AJ' should get a 50/50 split of a potential fight against Fury. There were whispers about Fury being 'turned over' in sparring before he had to cancel the undisputed fight, but he brushed off the speculation by showing off his great shape with a picture of himself in the mirror.

"It boggles belief, we were looking at some of it laughing our heads off," Fury's manager Spencer Brown told iFL TV about the rumours. "These conspiracy theories, it was actually very funny. Old Johnny Nelson, he's got a 'mole' in our camp. We've been digging holes
