Tyson Fury dismisses Anthony Joshua as he gives verdict on Francis Ngannou KO

Tyson Fury has responded to Anthony Joshua's devastating second round knockout of Francis Ngannou, saying that he will be up for finally facing his long-time rival if he can take care of business elsewhere.

The Gypsy King faces Oleksandr Usyk on May 18 for the undisputed heavyweight title, and is expected to rematch the Ukrainian later in the year no matter who comes out on top in the first fight. Fury watched Joshua's demolition of his most recent opponent and former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou ringside last night, and says he was impressed with his British rival's display.

However, the 35-year-old insists he still has the beating of Joshua, who he hopes to share the ring with if he can come through Usyk. The Manchester-born boxer also questioned promoter Eddie Hearn's claim that his man Joshua is now the number one heavyweight on the planet. "I'm sure that Oleksandr Usyk will have something to say about that given he beat him twice," Fury commented.

"For the actual real boxing, it's me and Usyk who fight for the undisputed heavyweight world championship of the world. I had a poor performance against Ngannou and I almost got it right, I predicted one round. He did absolutely fantastic tonight, he lit him up with a right hand and knocked him out. That's what a boxer should have done with him, but if he fights next year it'll be a different game."
