Tyson Fury accuses Dillian Whyte of cheating during heavyweight fight
Tyson Fury was the heavy favourite going into the fight against Dillian Whyte, and this was clear for all to see from very early in the fight, including Whyte, who resorted to dirty tactics from the outset.
Fury highlighted this in the post-fight press conference, as he said: “He tried to make it rough, fair play to him, he was trying to man handle me in there.”
It was a failed attempt by Whyte to try and wrestle, literally, the initiative back from Fury.
The Gypsy King knew it wasn’t going to succeed due to Whyte’s height and reach disadvantage, as well as his lack of speed. The Body Snatcher did look slow and sluggish throughout the fight, and for a man as big as Fury that moves so well, it was always going to be in vain.
Fury had been the showman during the fight, and this continued in the post-fight press conference, delivering some killer lines, such as: “Have you ever tried to wrestle with a dinosaur? I’m like a T-rex in there. I’m 6ft 9, 270lbs. It’s difficult.”
It was clear Whyte had bitten off more than he could chew, but what other options did he have against a bigger, faster and more complete opponent?

The underhand tactics also backfired as Whyte suffered a cut after trying to head-butt Fury. The antics from the contender didn’t faze the champion, and he and his team will have been well aware of Whyte’s game plan coming into the fight.
“He tried hitting me with elbows, head, he tried nutting me, done a Wladimir Klitschko on me.
“He was trying everything. He was using forearms, trying to elbow me. When you try and cheat in a fight, you always come up second best. He went to nut me and got cut.”
