Two people cut from car after serious crash as police aircraft scrambled to scene
Two people were cut from a car after a serious crash in Hyde on Sunday night (December 1). Police, paramedics and fire crews raced to the scene on Talbot Road at around 5.30pm.
Photos shared on social media showed a number of emergency services vehicles blocking the road in both directions as they responded, with bus routes also diverted. A police aircraft was also circling the scene following the incident.
The fire service confirmed one vehicle was involved, with two people rescued from the crash using specialist equipment. Details about their condition have not been confirmed.

The road remained closed in both directions for a number of hours on Sunday night, between Victoria Street and Ashton Road. Greater Manchester Police have not yet confirmed the details surrounding the collision.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At just after 5.30pm this evening (Sunday 1 December), fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Talbot Road in Hyde.
“Two fire engines from Hyde and Stalybridge and the technical response unit from Leigh quickly attended the incident which involved one vehicle.
“Working alongside colleagues from North West Ambulance Service, crews used specialist equipment to extricate two people from a vehicle. Crews worked with Greater Manchester Police to make the area safe before departing after approximately one hour and fifteen minutes at the scene.”
