Two men, woman and boy, 15, charged after huge police cordon in Bolton

Four people have been charged after a huge police cordon was put in place following a serious attack in Bolton.

Greater Manchester Police said two men, a woman and a 15-year-old boy have all been charged in connection with the incident in Great Lever on Thursday (September 28). They were all remanded into custody.

All four were due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today (Saturday). Leah Whittle, 41, of Wigan Road, Westhoughton, has been charged with two counts of assault, and one count of affray and threats to commit criminal damage.

William Whittle, 37, of Fellbridge Close, Westhoughton, has been charged with two counts of assault and one count of affray. Bradley Kay, 28, of Trafford Street, Farnworth, has been charged with two counts of assault and one count of affray.

The 15-year-old boy - who can't be named for legal reasons - has been charged with two counts of assault, one count of affray, and one count of possession of a bladed article.

Police were called to the scene of an incident on High Street in Great Lever at around 11.45am on Thursday.
