Two men 'seriously' injured after reported street attacks
Two men were rushed to hospital with 'serious' injuries after two reported assaults on a street.
Emergency services were called to Maple Crescent in Leigh, Wigan, at around 11.50pm on Sunday, Greater Manchester Police have revealed.
Police responded after 'reports of two assaults'. Two men were found at the scene and subsequently taken to hospital with what GMP called 'serious injuries'.

Their ages or the details of their injuries haven't been confirmed, but police said no arrests have been made as yet.
There's been no update as to their conditions in hospital either and it's not been disclosed whether any weapons were involved.
A blue forensic tape was put up outside a terraced house on the street, but the police cordon that was in place has now been lifted.
Police said 'enquiries remain ongoing' to determine what happened.
In a statement, GMP said: "On Sunday 17 December 2023 at around 11.50pm, officers were called to reports of two assaults on Maple Crescent in Leigh.
"Officers attended the scene, and two males were taken to hospital with serious injuries. No arrests have been made at present.
"Enquiries remain ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident."
