Two Manchester United players tipped to be 'safe' from summer overhaul

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak believes David de Gea and Dean Henderson are the only two players that are "safe" at the club ahead of the start of next season, indicating that big changes must be made at Old Trafford.

With a handful of games left to play, United are facing the prospect of missing out on Champions League football for next season, meaning big changes are set to be made this summer. Erik ten Hag has been installed as the club's new permanent manager and will take charge ahead of the start of next season.

The Dutchman, who is currently in charge of Ajax, will be United's fifth permanent manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired back in 2013 and he is going to be expected to make huge changes this summer. With four permanent managers, plus Ralf Rangnick on a lengthy interim basis, having failed to address United's woes, it is clear that changes need to be made within the squad.

United, according to Rangnick, could sign up to ten new players this summer to try and put them back on the road to success, meaning departures are to be expected. And for former Reds shot-stopper Kuszczak, who played for the club between 2006 and 2012, only goalkeepers De Gea and Henderson are free from the risk of being offloaded, despite speculation mounting about the goalkeeping situation ahead of next term and Henderson's future.
