Troy Parrott bags late winner against Roma in Europa League

Troy Parrott bagged the most memorable goal of his club career tonight after coming off the bench to score for AZ Alkmaar in a 1-0 win over Italian giants Roma.

The Republic of Ireland striker converted David Wolfe's cross in the 80th minute, having just entered the action eight minutes earlier.

The 12th goal of the season for Parrott brought great celebrations at the AFAS Stadium and gives the Dutch side a major boost in their bid to reach the next round of the Europa League.

Elsewhere Tottenham Hotspur won 3-2 against Hoffenheim in their match in Germany.
