Transfer news LIVE as Celtic and Rangers plus Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs make signings

That big transfer clock is starting to tick towards the deadline now.

It's been a frantic summer all around and there could be more business to be done at Celtic, with Ange Postecoglou repeatedly stressing the club remain open to doing the right deal.

Some players will almost certainly move on, however, with the likes of Christopher Jullien, Albian Ajeti, Mikey Johnston set to leave.

James McCarthy is also attracting interest from England as he considers his options.

At Rangers, new deals are in the works for Alfredo Morelos, James Tavernier and Ryan Kent, with all three open to staying at Ibrox.

On the other hand, the likes of Niko Katic, Jack Simpson and Stephen Kelly look set to head elsewhere.

Returning Hibs hero Martin Boyle made an instant impact with his last-gasp Edinburgh Derby equaliser and Lee Johnson could yet look to add more signings.

Hearts, meanwhile, have offered Lee Seung-woo a three-year deal and are set to make a decision on free agent Jacob Davenport.

Aberdeen have made 11 signings so far and the latest, Leighton Clarkson on-loan from Liverpool, scored on his debut at the weekend.

In the Premier League, Cristiano Ronaldo still wants to leave Manchester United, who remain in the hunt to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona.

Frenkie de Jong is standing firm over a proposed pay cut at Barcelona.

Reports from Spain have indicated club chief Joan Laporta has told the midfielder he can stay if he agrees to reduce his salary, with the club currently unable to register their raft of new signings due to La Liga financial sanctions.

According to SPORT, however, De Jong still has no intention of accepting the wage drop amid interest from Manchester United.
