Transfer expert: Newcastle now plotting summer move for 'the most terrifying striker in Europe'

Newcastle United are reportedly now eyeing up a move for Victor Osimhen in the summer.

Osimhen has had a standout season at Napoli, firing them to UEFA Champions League qualification with a third-placed finish in the Serie A, above the likes of Juventus, Lazio and Roma.

The Nigeria international has 14 goals and five assists in the division with one game still left to play, and has managed no fewer than 24 goal contributions in total over all competitions this season (Transfermarkt), impressive numbers indeed.

Speaking on TV program Senza Filtri (via Area Napoli), ‘transfer market expert’ Niccolo Ceccarini has revealed that the St. James’ Park faithful, as well as both Manchester United and Arsenal, are now eyeing up a move for Osimhen this summer.

However, it is not certain whether any of them will pay the €100m (£84.7m) required for his signature.

Claimed to be ‘the most terrifying striker in Europe‘ by journalist and African football expert Saddick Adams, Osimhen is a player who will surely have a lot more admirers come the summer.

At just 23 years of age, he has the potential to become one of the best strikers in the world, if he is not already, and it’s not hard to see why Napoli are demanding such a huge sum.

The 6 foot 1 star has already proven he can dominate English opposition, scoring both goals in a 2-2 draw with Leicester City in this year’s Europa League.

While he would be an expensive outlay, the North East club should have the money to pay the fee required, and if they do, it would really send out a statement to the rest of the Premier League and Europe that they mean business.
