Trafford's Primark opening Grinch-themed cafe for Christmas

A new Grinch-themed cafe is opening at Primark in Trafford just in time for the festive season.

The cafe, inside the Trafford Palazzo, next to The Trafford Centre, will have a whole host of limited edition green goodies on the menu, including a Grinchmas Shake made with mint ice cream and decorated in red sugar sprinkles, delicious Cindy Lou Who Waffles topped with vanilla ice cream, meringue and red velvet cake pieces and warming hot drinks including orange and salted caramel hot chocolates.

Opening from Friday, November 17, it follows the success of similar cafes in Primarks in Birmingham and Edinburgh.

With thousands of themed shakes and waffles sold in just two weeks, and 'queues stretching all the way to Whoville', the cafes have proved a hit with customers, many of whom already head in store to get their hands on The Grinch range of more than 100 items including matching family pyjamas, jumpers, accessories and homewares.

The cafe will be open until December 29 and on two dates - November 22 and 23 - The Grinch himself will make an appearance spreading all his anti-Christmas joy.

Tim Kelly, Primark's director of new business development, said: “We’ve been very pleased with our customers reaction to the Grinch cafes in Edinburgh and Birmingham, we can’t wait for our Manchester shoppers to try out our exclusive range of Grinchmas shakes and waffles, whilst shopping all things Primark.”
