Tottenham will be "such a force next year" if Fabio Paratici lands 74-goal "beast" - journalist
Tottenham could become “such a force” next season if they sign Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez, according to journalist Jacque Talbot.
Antonio Conte wants to bring in six new players this summer to build a squad ready to compete in the Premier League and Champions League.
Spurs have already signed Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster on a free from Southampton and are hoping to complete further business in the coming months.
The north Londoners are traditionally slow starters in the transfer window, but with Conte and Fabio Paratici teaming up, their approach appears to have changed.
The arrivals of Perisic and Forster were identified and confirmed even before the summer market was officially open, with Conte clearly desperate to get the majority of his business over the line before his players return for pre-season.
Another position the Italian wants to strengthen is up front. Despite a slow start to 2021-2022, Harry Kane enjoyed a fine second half of the campaign, but he remains the club’s only striker, which means reinforcements are needed if Tottenham want to challenge on all fronts.
Spurs have already been linked with a host of strikers ahead of the window, one of which being Martinez, who’s scored 74 goals in the last four years, which has seen him develop into one of Italian football’s top number nines.
With an incredible front three of Dejan Kulusevski, Heung Min Son and Kane already on their books, Talbot reckons that adding Martinez, described as a ‘beast‘ by ex-teammate Romelu Lukaku, to Conte’s squad could take Tottenham to the next level.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “If you bring in someone like Martinez, they’re going to be such a force next year. I truly believe that Spurs will be in that top four, maybe even in
