Tottenham are interested in Blackburn youngster Ashley Phillips, but no formal bids have been made for the player.

He would be one for the Spurs youth team or to be loaned out if he was to move to Hotspur Way this summer.

Blackburn are anxious to tie him down to a longer-term contract, however.

Spurs director of football Fabio Paratici is said to have a watched Phillips make his debut against Reading in midweek.

The 17-year-old started as Rovers lost 3-0 to the Royals.

Tanguy Ndombele has joined Napoli on loan for the 2022/23 season, with an option to make the move permanent, Tottenham have confirmed.

The France midfielder joined Spurs from Lyon for a club-record £63 million in July 2019 but the move failed to live up to either party's expectations.
