Tottenham supporters surely buzzing over what has emerged on Sky Sports - opinion

Tottenham Hotspur had an emotional return with former player Christian Eriksen on Saturday night. His career looked over as he had his life saved on the pitch after collapsing in the Euros. The Danish midfielder has been playing for Brentford and took on Spurs for the first time since that awful day in the summer.

The game wasn’t good for Spurs though, faltering to a goalless draw saw them lose ground in the race for the top four after Arsenal’s win. They now sit one place behind their North London rivals, trailing by two points in the race for the coveted final Champions League spot.

After the game, Eriksen was interviewed on Sky Sports and had this to say when asked about wanting Spurs to finish in the top four: “Of course I am still a Spurs fan!”

Spurs fans will be absolutely delighted to see that footage, not only because one of their former favourites is talking so highly about them, but also because he could make a return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It has been reported on MailOnline that Antonio Conte will look to bring the attacking midfielder back to the club after taking him from Spurs when he was at Inter, so the manager clearly rates him highly too!

He played 305 times for Spurs, scoring 69 goals and assisting on 90 occasions, so if he is to come back, the Spurs fans will be buzzing to see his creative flair return, with that interview hinting at the potential return maybe.
