Tottenham now ‘definitely exploring’ deal for 19-goal star at Hotspur Way

Tottenham Hotspur are now ‘definitely exploring’ a deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Antonio Conte has overseen a busy few months of business at Hotspur Way but still has time to add to his squad ahead of the September 1 deadline.

According to The Express, Spurs remain interested in signing the £46,000 per-week star this summer with Conte apparently eager to add another forward to his ranks.

The report claims that director of football Fabio Paratici is a huge admirer of the former Middlesbrough man, with his ability to play as a wing-back an attractive trait.

However, Spurs are not alone in targeting the eight-cap Spain international.

West Ham United are in the race for his signature, with David Moyes eager to land Traore, according to the Express and Star.

Meanwhile, Everton are also understood to hold an interest, as per Football Insider.

The outlet report that the Toffees are looking for reinforcements in attack as Chelsea continue their pursuit of Anthony Gordon, with their interest leading them to Traore.

Wolves manager Bruno Lage has previously admitted that the West Midlands outfit will sell Traore this summer for the right price.

Jones understands that Tottenham are definitely exploring the possibility of signing the 26-year-old before deadline day.

The transfer insider says it would be a very interesting deal considering the multiple ways he could slot into Conte’s side.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “I think Spurs is definitely one that is being explored. The way that he could be used in Conte’s system is very interesting. I know that they have gone back to the table and they obviously looked at Traore a while back.”
