Gary Neville has aimed a subtle dig at Tottenham Hotspur in his latest assessment of his former club.

United were knocked out of the Champions League on Tuesday night as they lost 1-0 to Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid as Renan Lodi's first-half header proved the difference at Old Trafford. And Sky Sports pundit Neville believes the match proved a theory he had following United's 3-2 win over Spurs.

It comes as Arsenal have been linked with a shock summer transfer move for one of Tottenham's players. And Harry Kane broke an impressive goalscoring record Tottenham's Premier League win over Brighton.

Here are latest Tottenham Hotspur headlines.

Gary Neville has said Manchester United's loss to Atletico Madrid proves he was right after the Red Devils' beat Tottenham 3-2 at the weekend.

Spurs fell to a defeat at Old Trafford as Cristiano Ronaldo scored a magnificent hat-trick, but Neville refused to get carried away after the result. And Neville says that his assessment was justified after United's 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid, as he said: "Any decent team, with organisation and fight are likely to beat this United team."
