Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has left Manchester United 'embarrassed' after leading Spurs on a Champions League charge, it has been claimed.

Son Heung-min’s double saw Tottenham register a huge win in the race for Champions League qualification as they beat West Ham 3-1. Spurs now sit in fifth place in the Premier League, just three points off Arsenal in fourth although their north London rivals have a game in hand.

The club's form will have left United embarrassed having "turned their noses up" at Conte according to Mirror Football's Darren Lewis. And former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho responded in typical fashion to claims he's been a 'major disappointment' at his latest club Roma.

Former Spurs manager Jose Mourinho was typically bullish after being told he's been a 'major disappointment' at his latest club.

Mourinho arrived at Serie A side AS Roma last summer, raising expectations that the club may be able to challenge for silverware with the 'Special One' in charge. But things have not quite worked out as expected with Mourinho's side sitting in sixth place in the table – 15 points off of AC Milan at the top.

And that has led to criticism of Mourinho, with former AS Roma manager Zdenek Zeman criticising the "quality of football on display" at his old club. But Mourinho has responded in typical fashion as he pointed to his past success.
