Tottenham 'make Memphis Depay decision' as new £15m transfer target emerges

Amid uncertainty surrounding the future of Tottenham boss Antonio Conte, Spurs will be hoping that the club can secure some signings this summer to ensure that the Italian will stay on in north London. There are a number of positions for which strengthening is necessary but it is not yet clear how much will be spent on improving the team.

Here we take a look at some of the day's Tottenham transfer rumours:

Memphis Depay was recently named in reports by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo as a target for Spurs along with a number of other European sides. The Barcelona man is rumoured to be leaving after a tricky season for the club under new manager Xavi, having been a favourite of Ronald Koeman.

However, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has suggested that the 28-year-old might not be a target for Spurs, he recently explained on the Gazzetta Dello Five show: “We had some rumours about Tottenham, but I’m told that at the moment it’s not an option they are exploring. So let’s see what happens with Depay, I think it’s a really open situation, but Barcelona will need to sell some players.”

This could be disappointing for some Spurs fans given the Dutchman's impressive scoring rate, but with the impressive Dejan Kulusevski set to continue at the club it may not be the worst news to hear right now for Spurs fans.

Marc Cucurella has impressed this season after signing for Brighton last summer for £15.4 million, and has been subject to admiring glances from some of the Premier League's elite, with Chelsea eyeing the former Barcelona youngster in January. Sport Witness , citing reports from Spain and Italy claim that the left-back could well be in the market for a move having impressed under Graham Potter.
