Tottenham 'make Harry Kane transfer decision' and more Manchester United rumours

Tottenham will resist selling England captain Harry Kane to Manchester United when the market reopens.

That's according to reports from The Mirror as speculation over the three-time Golden Boot winner's future continues to gather pace heading towards the summer transfer window. Erik ten Hag and the recruitment team at Old Trafford have already made Kane their primary target in the search for a new striker.

However, the article in question claims Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy - a fearsome negotiator - is unwilling to strike up business with United for the frontman. Kane turns 30 this July and has yet to win a trophy throughout his career despite a fantastic goal-scoring record for Tottenham and internationally.

In this last season alone, the 30-goal forward has become the all-time leading scorer for club and country while he continues to chase down Alan Shearer's record 260-goal Premier League tally. Kane is only 47 shy in that respect as he prepares to enter the final year of his contract amid interest from United.

However, they have seemingly been dealt a major blow in that pursuit. As things stand, alternative options for Ten Hag to consider include Goncalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani and Napoli sensation Victor Osimhen.

Elsewhere, reports from The Telegraph indicate Ten Hag is 'confident' he can lure Mason Mount to Old Trafford this summer amid his contract standstill. Similarly to Kane - his international captain - Chelsea star Mount has 13 months to run on his current agreement at Stamford Bridge.
