Tottenham 'looking at' two players after Spence at Hotspur Way

Tottenham could look to sign at least two more players on top of Djed Spence, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The Middlesbrough right wing-back is on the verge of becoming Antonio Conte’s sixth summer addition, although O’Rourke reckons the north Londoners are far from finished.

Contrast to previous years, with Conte and Fabio Paratici teaming up, Spurs are enjoying a fine transfer window.

Once Spence, who was set to undergo his medical at Hotspur Way earlier today, signs on the dotted line, Tottenham will have already secured the services of six new players long before the new campaign gets underway.

And Conte has already managed to strengthen all over the pitch, with Fraser Forster arriving to provide cover for Hugo Lloris, while Clement Lenglet will bolster the Italian’s back three options.

Ivan Perisic and Spence will improve his wing-back department, Yves Bissouma adds quality to the midfield and Richarlison’s arrival should finally decrease some of the workload on Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane.

Spurs have been linked with further midfield options, in particular Lucas Paqueta, although O’Rourke doesn’t think the Brazilian is a priority for the club.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “They have had an interest in Paqueta in the past, but I don’t think he’ll be a priority now; I think they are looking at another attacker and possibly a centre back if players do leave.”

As O’Rourke alluded to, the remainder of Tottenham’s business could hinge on outgoings.

Currently, Conte has seven potential centre back options at his disposal, although at least two of those could still leave the club before September’s deadline.

Both Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga have been linked with exits, and those two leaving would leave the Spurs
