Tottenham 'interested' in 'phenomenal' £110k-a-week star at Hotspur Way

Tottenham have an interest in Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison, believes Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor.

However, he is not sure if the north London club will make a move for the Englishman this summer given how much he could cost.

Transfer insider Dean Jones recently told GIVEMESPORT that Tottenham have “touched base” over a potential deal for Maddison.

Spurs have been extremely busy in this window having already signed Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Djed Spence, Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Clement Lenglet before the start of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

But it does not look like they are finished yet, with Maddison seemingly on their radar.

Over the last year, he has ranked in the 90th percentile for non-penalty goals, the 84th for total shots and the 88th for assists among his positional peers (via FBref).

Hailed as a “phenomenal” player by CBS Sports’ Adi Joseph, it is clear that the £110,000-a-week star would bring an additional attacking threat to Antonio Conte’s side.

The only question is, where would he fit? Maddison’s best
