Tottenham fans REJECT Ange as Celtic boss told to 'stick with banter league' while Daniel Levy urged to 'aim higher'

Tottenham fans have made their feelings clear on a move to bring Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou to the North London - and they're far from happy.

Reports in England suggest the Celtic boss is a 'main candidate' for the vacant role at Spurs after Daniel Levy was snubbed by Feyenoord boss Arne Slot - the latest in a long line of potential bosses to knock back the role. Reports suggest the Australian is well in the running after the Dutch coach raised concern about the model employed by chief Levy in North London.

And while Slot has rejected Tottenham it appears fans in North London have ALREADY rejected the idea of Postecoglou as boss. The Australian has dominated Scottish football with his attacking philosophy since his arrival, claiming two league titles, two League Cups and is on the brink of lifting the Scottish Cup this term to seal a Treble.

That hasn't impressed the Spurs fans, though. The club are searching for their first permanent boss since Antonio Conte's exit back in March.

And after Slot turned down the hot seat and rumours began to swirl over Postecoglou moving up the shortlist, one fan responded: "And just like that, the day goes from bad to worse." Another wasn't impressed by going for the Scottish title winner, adding: "Come on aim a bit higher."

Predictably, the standard of the Scottish Premiership came under fire from the Spurs fan base. One punter chimed in: "Ange manages a team in a banter league," while another added: "He should stay there and rack up more numbers in the farmers league."

One fan was already been to breeze past a knock-back from Postecgolou stating: "Just cut your losses and announce Brendan Rodgers, just get over with it. We all know it's happening in late June."
