Tottenham face 'immediate Kane problem' as Paratici eyes £36m star

Tottenham target Paulo Dybala and his wage demands could unsettle Harry Kane, claims transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Juventus forward has been linked with a switch to north London, but Jones thinks any deal that would see him become the highest-paid player at the club could have a negative effect on Kane.

Dybala is set to become a free agent when his contract at the Allianz Stadium expires at the end of the season.

It means that the £36m-rated 28-year-old is likely to demand huge wages and a sizeable signing-on fee from his next club since they will not have to pay Juventus a penny for his signature.

And if reports are to be believed, that club could be Tottenham. According to Italian outlet TUTTOmercatoWEB, the north London outfit are one side who could make a move for Dybala this summer.

Barcelona and Manchester City, however, are also mentioned in the report, so it could be a tricky deal for Spurs to do.

It is easy to see why Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici would want Dybala at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He is an attacker who has scored over 140 goals in his career.

However, Jones thinks the Italian could have a problem, as Kane has to be at the top of the food chain in that part of north London.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the insider said: “If they were to try and sign Dybala and he was demanding more than Harry Kane, then they’ve immediately got a problem on their hands because Harry Kane has to be the club’s highest earner.”

According to Calciomercato, when Juventus had initially made Dybala a contract offer back in October, it was worth around €10m (£8.3m) per year in total. As a free agent, you would expect him to ask for much more than that.
