Tottenham: Conte 'still looking' for new signings at Hotspur Way

Tottenham Hotspur are still on the look out for new signings this summer despite already adding six players to the squad, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown

Antonio Conte has wasted no time in putting his mark on Spurs this summer and there could be further additions before the transfer window slams shut. 

It has been a busy couple of months for Spurs with six signings made ahead of the 2022-23 campaign. 

Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster were the first to arrive, signing on free transfers after leaving Inter Milan and Southampton respectively at the end of last season. 

Yves Bissouma was next to move after Tottenham agreed a £26 million fee with Brighton for the midfielder’s services.

Clement Lenglet and Richarlison both arrived soon after, the former on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona and the latter for £60 million from Everton. 

Djed Spence rounded off the summer arrivals to date. After an impressive campaign on loan with Nottingham Forest, Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy snapped up the right-back for £13 million from Middlesbrough. 

Despite a host of new faces arriving at Hotspur Way this summer, Brown says that the north Londoners are still on the lookout for new recruits. 

However, the journalist also states that due to the amount of money spent already they are not pushing quite as hard as earlier in the window for any identified targets. 

Brown told GIVEMESPORT: “I suspect that most of Spurs’ business is done. They are still looking in certain areas but I don’t think they’re looking particularly hard because they’ve spent quite a lot of money already. I can’t see another big signing suddenly rocking up at the club. I could be wrong. We’ll see.”
