Tottenham: Big update on Fabio Paratici's Spurs future

Tottenham are confident that director of football Fabio Paratici will not walk away from the club, says journalist Dean Jones.

The 49-year-old only joined the north London outfit last summer but has been linked with a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.

TUTTOmercatoWEB recently reported that PSG have made contact with Paratici over replacing their current sporting director Leonardo.

The Brazilian is under huge pressure following the French club’s recent Champions League defeat to Real Madrid which saw them bow out of the competition in the last-16 stage.

Prior to his role at Tottenham, Paratici worked at Juventus as their chief football officer for 11 years, helping the Old Lady to return to the top of Italian football.

Ultimately, his experience makes it no surprise that PSG are keen on bringing him to the Parc des Princes.

Jones, however, is not expecting Paratici to leave just yet, telling GIVEMESPORT that Tottenham are confident about retaining his services.

Speaking to GMS, the insider said: “They feel quite comfortable in the fact that Paratici’s not going to walk out at this stage.”

It has been hit and miss. There has definitely been some successes, with Dejan Kulusevski being the most recent.

The 21-year-old, who made the move from Juventus to Tottenham like Paratici, has made an instant impact in north London.

He was on fire against Manchester City last month, scoring and assisting in Spurs’ impressive 3-2 win at the Etihad before adding to that with another goal away at Leeds United.
