Tottenham: £50k-a-week star could now make late exit at Hotspur Way

Tottenham pair Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks have had a “surprising” lack of interest since they were put up for sale, according to The Sun journalist Tom Barclay.

The duo don’t have a future in north London and are expected to leave before the deadline, although Barclay believes there’s been little interest in them.

Having been left out of the travelling party for South Korea last month, along with Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele, Reguilon and Winks, who both earn £50,000 per-week, were put on the transfer list.

According to The Athletic, Conte is only keen on working with players who are part of his plans for this season.

As a result, the pair have since been training away from the rest of the first-team squad at Hotspur Way as they hope to resolve their futures before the window closes next month.

Reguilon and Winks weren’t involved against Southampton, Chelsea and Wolves, and look to have played their final games for Spurs.

Regardless, there appears to be a lack of interest in the pair despite being regulars at various times in their Tottenham career.

Asked whether Spurs have received any enquiries for the two, he told GIVEMESPORT: “Not that I know of in the last two days or so. Harry Winks, it feels like it might go to the end of the window, but I’m surprised about the lack of interest in both of them really.”

With Tottenham bolstering in both of their respective positions following the arrivals of Ivan Perisic at left wing-back and Yves Bissouma in midfield, the duo are surplus to requirements in N17.

Therefore, they need to leave in some capacity before the window slams shut. Conte has made it clear that he no longer wishes to work with the two players, so they must find a solution in the next two weeks.
