Tottenham: £43m Premier League star 'would be tempted' by Hotspur Way move

Tottenham target Trevoh Chalobah would be tempted in a move to north London and the prospect of staying in the Champions League, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

Antonio Conte wants to add another centre back to his squad before 1 September’s transfer deadline and is believed to be interested in signing the £43m-rated Chelsea youngster.

According to the Evening Standard, Chalobah is considering his future at Stamford Bridge, with Tottenham joining Roma and Inter Milan in the race for his signature.

The 23-year-old enjoyed his breakout at Chelsea last season and played regularly under Thomas Tuchel’s guidance, making 30 appearances in total on his way to winning the Super Cup and Club World Cup.

Chalobah made 17 starts in the Premier League despite Tuchel’s array of central options, which included both Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger.

But since their departures, Kalidou Koulibaly has arrived from Napoli, while the west Londoners are hoping to secure the services of Wesley Fofana from Leicester City.

As a result, Chalobah has been an unused substitute in each of their three league fixtures this season, which has him questioning his future at his boyhood club.

And despite the rivalry between Tottenham and Chelsea, Brown reckons that a switch across the capital could appeal to the 6 ft 3 defender.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Chalobah has a right to feel upset. He worked so hard to finally get a chance at Chelsea and he played in some big games last season without letting anyone down.

“He played well considering the manager doesn’t have a lot of faith in him and Chelsea have signed Koulibaly and now want another centre back, that has to be quite a kick in the teeth for him, so I’m sure he would be tempted to
