Tottenham: £20m playoff star 'definitely on Conte's list' at Hotspur Way

Djed Spence is on Tottenham‘s transfer list this summer, according to journalist Jacque Talbot.

The on-loan Nottingham Forest right-back has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs following his exploits in the Championship this season, with Spurs one of those sides keen on his services.

Despite being sent out on loan by ex-Middlesbrough manager Neil Warnock ahead of the 2021-2022 campaign, the young defender has enjoyed a fine season at the City Ground.

Across all competitions, Spence made 50 appearances, including notable FA Cup showings against Arsenal and Leicester.

Following the 1-0 victory over the Gunners, ex-striker Ian Wright ‘sung his praises’, while his stock grew even further when he scored against the Foxes in the following round.

As a result, Arsenal, who were plotting a £20m move, along with Tottenham and Leeds, have been credited with an interest in the 20-year-old.

Spurs’ need for a right-sided player has increased following Emerson Royal’s struggles during his first season at the club, and Talbot confirmed that Spence is “definitely” on Fabio Paratici’s list.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “He’s definitely on Spurs’ list, but I don’t think they’re frontrunners, no one is a frontrunner at this point.

“Loads of people like him, he’s been focusing on the [Championship play-off] final, then he will make a decision for whoever comes in with the most ambitious offer.”
