Tottenham: £12.5m star 'remains on the radar' at Hotspur Way

Tottenham Hotspur still have Eintracht Frankfurt wing-back Filip Kostic ‘on their radar’, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Spurs manager Antonio Conte is widely expected to make several additions to his first-team squad when the transfer window reopens for business following an inconsistent start to his tenure.

According to Spanish sources, Conte requested Kostic’s signature in January, but a formal offer failed to materialise, and he ended up staying put.

However, Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has claimed the 6 foot wide-man will be available for around €15 million (£12.5m) in the summer, with reigning Serie A champions Inter in pole position for his signature.

And a recent report by The Athletic revealed the main focus for Tottenham ahead of next season will be to sign a left-sided centre-back, and that the ‘next priority’ will be two wing-backs, one for each flank.

Kostic could be one player who Conte and director of football Fabio Paratici target as they look to close the gap on the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

The Serbia international has enjoyed a fabulous season for Frankfurt, registering seven goals and 14 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions, and was previously described as a “mentality monster” by teammate Kevin Trapp.

Kostic has played a pivotal part in Frankfurt upsetting the odds and reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League, and O’Rourke believes he is still a player of interest to Tottenham.
