Top WWE star shows off touching tattoo in memory of Umaga

Jey Uso has shown of his new tattoo that pays homage to another member of the famous Anoa’I family, who have been synonymous with WWE.

The Bloodline are currently riding high in the WWE, with Roman Reigns as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and The Usos holding the Unified Tag team Championships.

All three of them will be in action on tonight’s Monday Night Raw, when the team-up to face the trio of Riddle and The Street Profits as the red brand emanates from Madison Square Garden. And The Bloodline will look to continue their dominant reign over the company.

Jey Uso has paid further tribute to that line by showing off his newest tattoo, a tribute to the late Eddie Fatu, who was known as Umaga in WWE before he passed away in 2009.

The tattoo, the same design as seen on the chest of Umaga, is the newest ink to Jey’s body of art with the dates 1973-2009 written below it.

Fatu first wrestled in WWE as part of the team Three Minute Warning, best known as henchmen for Eric Bischoff, before he was released in 2003.

After spells in TNA and in Japan he would later return to WWE under the name Umaga and have his greatest success. Winning the Intercontinental Championship from Jeff Hardy and then representing Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 23’s Battle of the Billionaires opposite Bobby Lashley and Donald Trump.

He was released in 2009 due to a violation of WWE’s wellness policy, before suffering a heart attack later that year due to an overdose of painkillers and sadly passed away, aged 36.

His family’s legacy will continue however, this Saturday night as Jey and Jimmy Uso put their Undisputed Tag Team Titles on the line against The Street Profits with Jeff Jarrett as special guest referee for the bout.
