Each driver will be desperate to kick off the season with a place on the podium, so we’ve decided to take a look at the 25 drivers with the most top-three finishes in Formula 1 history. Brazilian Emerson Fittipaldi represented three teams during his 10-year career and won two Drivers’ Championships. Fittipaldi ended up on the podium 35 times during his 149 races, winning 14 of those. 

One of Britain’s best-ever drivers is Graham Hill, who tragically passed died in a plane crash in 1975. Hill won the Drivers’ Championship in 1962 and 1968 and also finished on the podium on 35 occasions. 

Italian Riccardo Patrese enjoyed a remarkable 16-year career on the track and took part in 257 races. Patrese only won six of those, but he did finish on the podium 37 times. 

Felipe Massa has recently tried his luck in Formula E after calling time on his Formula 1 career in 2017. The Brazilian, who never won a world title, sprayed the champagne after finishing in the top three on 41 occasions. 

Australian Mark Webber now tends to interview drivers on the podium, but he managed to finish in the top three 42 times during his 11-year career. Most of those came during his time with Red Bull.
