Huddersfield Town boss Carlos Corberan has been linked with becoming Marcelo Bielsa’s successor at Leeds United.
Bielsa took the Whites up and is on course to keep them in the Premier League for a second successive season but his future beyond the summer is unclear.
According to The Telegraph, Corberan has emerged as a contender should he depart.
But would he be a good appointment? And is he ready for the Premier League?

Corberan being touted as Bielsa’s successor is nothing new. It was bound to happen, particularly whilst he’s doing well with Huddersfield.
For what it’s worth, it feels like the 2022/23 season would be a year too soon for Corberan to take over at Elland Road. The task of replacing Bielsa is going to be a huge one and it might just be too much for Corberan at this stage.
That is, of course, if Leeds are still a Premier League club, with relegation still a possibility this season.
Things would change considerably if Leeds dropped out of the top-flight and into the Championship, where Corberan might then be a leading contender for the job.
Right now he’s got Premier League aspirations with Huddersfield Town, but if Leeds were equals with the Yorkshire rivals in the Championship, they’d probably fancy their chances of luring him back to Elland Road.
Corberan, though, seems settled and has an ambition to succeed at Huddersfield. They will hope that means he stays put and honours his contract.
