Tony Khan: Praises current champion after Rampage display.

Tony Khan is one to show his emotions when he is impressed and heaps praise on social media when he feels a certain event has stolen the show.

Khan was back to his old tricks again last night as he took to Twitter to show his appreciation for the main event between the Blackpool Combat Club’s Jon Moxley and ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta.

The match had everything from shocking spots to hard-hitting lariats topped off with Yuta bearing a crimson mask as he was busted open by Moxley.

Khan was particularly impressed with Yuta. Even though the ROH Pure Champion didn’t pick up the victory, he in Khan’s words “became a star”.Yuta in the bout shocked the world, breaking out of the bulldog choke and even kicking out of the Paradigm Shift, something very rare to see in AEW.

After the bout, Yuta got a handshake of approval from Regal and was shown signs of respect from both Danielson and Moxley.

When the show finished Khan came to the ring to congratulate and praise Yuta even raising the wrestlers arm and indicating that a star was born today.

This new angle with Yuta has prepelled him up the ranks in AEW and we could see him side by side with three of the best in the wrestling industry.

We will have to wait and see what happens in the coming weeks between Yuta and the Blackpool Combat Club.

You can watch AEW internationally on FITE TV.
