Tony Hawk's Pro Skater: Remasters of 3 and 4 cancelled
Tony Hawk claims that remasters of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 were in the works, but have now been killed off, as per Polygon.
The legendary skateboarder saw a recent remaster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 succeed both critically and commercially but developer Vicarious Visions has now been absorbed by Blizzard Entertainment.
And that appears to have ended any hopes of 3 and 4 receiving releases down the line.
Hawk made some comments about the planned remaster in a Twitch broadcast over the weekend, appearing on a stream hosted by Andy Gentile, otherwise known as andyTHPS.
He was a former senior designer at Vicarious Visions and he asked Hawk about the potential of a further remake coming down the line.
He replied: “I wish I could say that we had something in the works, but you know Vicarious Visions kinda got disbanded and Activision’s going through all their stuff so I don’t know what’s next.

Hawk also claims that Activision was planning to make Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 after Vicarious Vision moved into Blizzard, but the publisher was not able to make it happen.
He added: “The truth is they were trying to find someone to do 3 and 4 but they just didn’t really trust anyone the way they did Vicarious.
“So they took other pitches from other studios […] They didn’t like anything they heard and that was it.

Tony Hawk 1 and 2 received an exceptional 89 score on Metacritic, along with an 8.8 user score.
