Tony Bellew hits back at Simon Jordan over criticism of Anthony Joshua

Tony Bellew has called Simon Jordan a ‘coward’ for his criticism of Anthony Joshua.

Jordan said that Joshua reacted angrily to his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk as he was so used to having everything his own way that he didn’t know how to deal with it.

The British superstar flew into a bitter rage as he threw two of Usyk’s belts out of the ring before delivering an emotional impassioned speech.

But Bellew has jumped to the defence of his old pal who has not won a fight for over two years now after suffering consecutive back-to-back defeats to Usyk.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “First of all, I just want to put that absolute muppet straight.

“That man hasn’t a clue, all he does is use big words to confuse and contradict himself.

“He’s an absolute clown.

“Let’s just talk about the points that Simon Jordan made.

“The first point that he made was that Carl Froch and George Groves fought in front of 90,000. Well, obviously, you don’t listen to Froch a lot because it was 80,000. So, there’s the first fact you got wrong.

“Anthony Joshua is the first fighter in UK history to take fights to Wembley Stadium and the Millennium Stadium on a regular basis. He took fights to Saudi Arabia for the first time in history, goes to New York and fills Madison Square Garden.

“This boy has genuinely changed how boxing is seen in this country – that’s the first fact I had to get off.

“Let’s just get it straight, judges have no care in the world for DAZN. Judges only care about being paid and scoring fights. That’s the top and bottom of it. So, that’s another fact he got wrong.
