Tonbridge Angels sign former Millwall and QPR youth-team striker Bunmi Babajide from Hampton & Richmond
Tonbridge boss Craig Nelson is a big admirer of his new striker.
Bunmi Babajide has joined the Angels from fellow National League South club Hampton & Richmond.
The 22-year-old, who played youth-team football at Millwall and QPR, is highly thought of by Nelson.
“Bunmi is electric,” Nelson told the club’s media team.
“He brings pace, power and a real eye for goal.
“He’s a player who’s hungry to kick on and we’re excited to give him the platform to keep developing.
“He’s direct, fearless and has the kind of energy that gets fans off their seats.”
Babajide played for Corinthian Casuals, Waltham Abbey and Egham Town before joining Carshalton, where he scored 20 goals in 37 games for the Isthmian Premier club.
That led to a move to Hampton and he made 20 appearances for the Beavers last season.
Babajide said: “I’m really happy to be joining Tonbridge Angels.
“After speaking with the gaffer, I felt this was the right place for me to grow and show what I can do.
“I’m ready to work hard, enjoy my football and contribute with goals and performances the fans can be proud of."
