Todd Cantwell to Blackburn Rovers: Is it a good potential move? Would he start? What does he offer?

Blackburn Rovers will be keen to move forward as a club following their decision to hand over the reins to Jon Dahl Tomasson earlier this month.

Keen to stamp his own authority on Rovers’ squad, Tomasson may be able to bolster his side’s chances of achieving a relative amount of success in the Championship later this year if he nails his transfer recruitment.

One of the players who has recently been linked with a move to Ewood Park is Todd Cantwell.

According to The Sun, Blackburn are interested in signing Cantwell on loan from Norwich City.

Is it a good potential move?

This could turn out to be a shrewd bit of business by Blackburn if they are able to convince Norwich to sanction a temporary switch this summer.

Cantwell has demonstrated during his career that he is more than capable of delivering the goods in the Championship.

As well as scoring seven goals at this level, the midfielder has also provided nine assists in 68 appearances.

If he is able to hit the ground running for Blackburn, Cantwell could potentially go on to establish himself as a key player for the club.

Capable of playing in a number of different positions, Cantwell’s versatility could prove to be extremely useful for Blackburn.
