Todd Cantwell revisits Rangers rammy but mocking Celtic fans say the same thing

Celtic fans have taken aim at Todd Cantwell after the Rangers star shared a snap of his row at full-time after the Old Firm game.

Following the 3-3 thriller, the playmaker was seen shoving Callum McGregor before Greg Taylor rushed in to defend the Celtic captain. McGregor and Cantwell appeared to be involved in an on-field spat during the game having both came off the bench as second half substitutes. Sky Sports cameras caught the duo having an exchange during the 90 minutes - before temperatures boiled over after Rabbi Matondo snatched a point for Rangers with a late equaliser.

Cantwell refused to shy away from the incident on his social media as he revisited the incident on his Instagram page. He showed the confrontation with Scotiand cap Taylor as his Rangers teammates intervened. In the snap share to the Englishman's story Leon Balogun can be seen wrapping his arm around him to stop tensions escalating further.

However, Celtic fans have claimed that Cantwell is rewriting the incident with one fan declaring it "fiction" that he was at the forefront of the ding dong. On X, a snap was shared alongside Cantwell's Instagram which showed him at the back of Ibrox rammy.

Another punter chimed in: "Aw man that’s mortifying. He’s posted a “haud me back” photo." Another added: "Got actual second hand embarrassment for him." One punter claimed he "ran and hid" when Taylor appeared on the scene.

Chris Sutton was quick to stick the boot in on the 26-year-old on commentary following the incident. He said on Sky Sports: "That's daft from Cantwell. Do your talking on the pitch, Tik Tok."
