Todd Cantwell makes Rangers injury vow as race to be fit for title run in starts now

Todd Cantwell has vowed to do all he can to return to action as soon as possible.

Rangers boss Philippe Clement revealed in his pre-match media duties ahead of welcoming Hearts to Ibrox that the influential midfielder will be sidelined for a number of weeks in a major blow to the league leaders. Every game carries huge importance at this stage of the season in the title battle with Celtic while the Light Blues discovered their will face Benfica in the Europa League last 16 stage with a Scottish Cup campaign also completing a busy fixture schedule as the Ibrox men look to add to their League Cup win.

Writing on his Instagram story, the midfielder said: "Thank you for all the messages. I'll do all I can to be back as soon as possible." Speaking to the media earlier this afternoon, Clement revealed: “Todd Cantwell will be out for a few weeks which is disappointing but that is football. Kemar Roofe has trained this week and he will be in the squad.”
