Todd Cantwell aims cryptic Rangers jibe at appearance critics as he basks in Ibrox love affair with holiday snap

Todd Cantwell is enjoying downtime as he prepares for his first full season at Rangers and the midfielder says he's glad his appearance won't be 'too much for some people'.

The Englishman is seemingly aiming a jibe at his Norwich detractors after he admitted leaving Carrow Road was not done on the best of terms and promised fans of his boyhood club that they would 'know the truth'. Cantwell hit the ground running in Glasgow and has been integral to Michael Beale's side since arriving in January, scoring against Celtic as part of eleven goal involvements for the campaign.

Cantwell snapped himself sporting a Rangers anniversary jersey while soaking up the sun as he prepares to return to pre-season action next month. The attacker will join up with ex-Canaries pal Kieran Dowell, but seemingly aimed at jibe at his critics as he relished the chance to go in to pre-season without negativity about his hairstyle or fashion sense.

He followed that up by writing: "It's nice knowing I'm going in to a pre-season not having to worry if my hair is too blonde or my clothes will be too much for people," alongside a mind-blown and laughing emoji.

Cantwell then posted a screenshot of a quote that read: "The past gave us experience and made us wiser so that we can create a beautiful and brighter future."

He posted to Instagram in February: "Just a quick statement. The leaving of my boyhood club may have seemed strange to some in terms of my words. The situation and the way I was treated will be revealed and my fans and fans of the club will know the truth. I'm so happy again and enjoying my football at the amazing Rangers."
