Title-winning Stirling Albion boss extends future with club to 2026 with new deal

Stirling Albion manager Darren Young has secured his future with the club until summer 2026 after signing a new two-and-a-half extension.

The 45-year-old brought the Forthbank club title glory last season with the League Two crown and has the Binos sitting in eighth in their League One campaign, but sitting just four points off the promotion play-off spots.

Former East Fife and Albion Rovers coach Young arrived at the club in December 2021 following the departure of Kevin Rutkiewicz and proceeded to stabilise the club in League Two before their title push in 2022/23.

In a statement published on their website, the club expressed delight over the extension and praised Young's "management of the team and dedication to the club".

Speaking following the extension, Young said: "I am absolutely delighted to have signed a new contract.

"It’s been a great couple of years and I’m looking forward to helping the club continue to grow on and off the park.

"I just want to thank all my backroom staff, the players, the board, the general manager and all the fans for their amazing support since I have joined the club.”
