The 31-year-old was carted off the field after suffering an apparent leg injury against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2 on Monday Night Football.
A product of the University of Michigan, Lewan was selected in the first round (11th overall) of the 2011 National Football League Draft. Lewan earned Pro-Bowl honours in three consecutive seasons (2016-2018), was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team in 2014 and was named to the NFL Top 100 three times.
The Loomis, Calif., native has missed time for the Titans in the past two seasons with a torn ACL (2020) and a concussion (2021).
Lewan has one year remaining on a five-year, $80 million deal with a cap hit of $14.8 million in 2023.
