Chelsea striker Timo Werner has admitted that Real Madrid's two goals on the night were "very good" as the £50million man singled out Luka Modric for special praise after his brilliant pass in the build-up to Rodrygo's goal.

Werner was given the vote of confidence from manager Thomas Tuchel who rewarded the former Bundesliga man with a surprise start against Los Blancos after his masterclass worthy performance against Southampton in the Premier League.
