Timo Werner bailed out by Szoboszlai after he missed easy chance in Leipzig vs Dortmund
Dominik Szoboszlai bailed Timo Werner out in epic fashion during RB Leipzig’s clash against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday afternoon.
The duo were in the staring lineup for the Bundesliga match at the Red Bull Arena.
The home side took an early lead through Willi Orban.
Werner should have made it 2-0 just before the break.
The German forward was sent clear through on goal and only had Alexander Meyer to beat.
But, despite having all the time in the world, Werner dragged his shot wide of the post.

It was an easy chance that a striker of Werner’s calibre should have been buruing with easy.
Fortunately for him, Szoboszlai made it 2-0 almost immediately after Werner’s missed chance.
The Hungarian midfielder, who is known for scoring screamers, took aim from 25 yards out and blasted his effort into the top corner.

What a hit.
Werner must have been the most relieved man in the stadium when Szoboszlai atoned for his error.
